We've known for years that our body language can communicate without
words and affect how others see us. We know that as non-verbal communication.
However, did you know that your
body language may also change how you see yourself?
Ever since I was a little girl, I've loved Wonder Woman. I'd dress up like her even when it wasn't Halloween. Recently, I've learned that there are benefits to standing like some of her well known poses!
Keep reading/watching today to see a TED video that shows Amy Cuddy talking about her research on body language. It reveals that we can change other people’s perceptions — and even our own body chemistry — simply by changing body positions.
After watching this video, I decided to give it a go and try the "power poses" when I attended networking functions.
For the past few weeks, I've been testing out this simple 2 minute small tweak at in body posture and am floored at the effectiveness. I encourage you to watch this video to the end, because she shares some gems.
Reading this from your email? You can find the video here: http://www.ted.com/talks/amy_cuddy_your_body_language_shapes_who_you_are.html
So, what did you think? Any aha moments when you watched this? Are you ready to take the challenge and try it out?
I hope you enjoyed the video and a big thank you to my friend Sindy Wilkinson of who originally shared this TED video with me
To your empowered success!

PS - A while back I shared an infographic about fantastic ideas for blog posts. At the time I said I'd have to write about Wonder Woman. Little did I know, I'd find a reason to actually do it! (chuckling right now.)
Oh, and yes, that is me "a few years ago" in my Wonder Woman finest.
