For the past few days I have been attending Lisa Sasevich's Impact and Influence conference. While here, I had the opportunity to meet Vernice Armour. Talk about a women with a mission!
I found myself writing a number of quotes down as she was speaking knowing that I'd share them with you, so here is the first one.
"Don't reinvent the wheel...buy custom rims to bling it out, but don't reinvent the wheel!"
I loved the visual she shared with this concept. Reinventing the wheel just does not make sense, literally or figuratively. In this case, she was referring to how we run our businesses.
She suggests that your business will grow much faster if you take proven processes and systems and make them your own. Considering she was able to leave the military and grow a six-figure business in under a year, I think she has something in her approach. :-)
Where are you trying to reinvent the wheel? Where do you not have proven business systems in place? How have you "blinged" out a proven system to make it your own?
