We're experimenting with a new tool on this site. It is called - Skribit. I have always wanted a way for you to participate in my decision making and now you can! You can tell me about the topics you would like me to write on and others can vote on that topic. Find the Skribit box in the upper left and tell me what you want to read about.
If you click on the title "What Should I Write About," in the box beneath, you'll see a place for you to write your suggestion in the box and hit submit. Right now I'm letting anyone submit a comment. If it ends up getting abused, I'll have to switch to asking for you to log in first.
Reasons to Use Skribit for Your Writing
Writers, especially blog writers, frequently get stuck with writer's block. Encouraging your audience to submit ideas not only helps you decide what to write about, but it ensures that your readers will be interested in what you have to say! (So, please please send me some ideas!)
You Don't Have to Have a Blog
If you are any kind of writer, you can use Skribit! In addition to having the ability to plug the "widget" on your blog, you can also point people to your public Skribit page where people can suggest topics. Here is the public page for Productive & Organized - http://skribit.com/blogs/productive-organized-finding-your-way
Side note: for those that are not aware, a widget is a small piece of code that allows you to put the skribit submission box on your blog.
Special Thanks
Thanks to the Blog Squad for letting me know about this new tool! They Rock.
Your Turn!
How do you overcome writer's block? What tricks do you have that could help me and the many other writers that read these posts?
PS Remember to do drop me an idea or 2 on topics you would like me to post about.
